I was such a Ninja Turtles fan growing up, the first time I played TMNT Turtles In Time was the year it released. I remember vividly, it was a Saturday and we went to Palmer Video to rent it. We brought it home, and I immediately started playing it. My brothers would play too but it was tough. It was a challenging game, but it was great because I loved Ninja Turtles Part II: The Arcade Game (NES). It’s still one of my all-time favorite games, even though Part IV has better graphics, sound, and everything in between.
🕹️ Game Genie and the Battle to Beat It
I’m kicking some shell, they’re kicking my shell, it was awesome. But you had a limited amount of continues, because if not, you would have to start all over.
Well, eventually, with the help of my brothers, we beat it. I’m going to be honest with you: I’m not entirely sure if we beat it with the Game Genie, because I eventually played it again. I just don’t remember if we borrowed it from a friend, but it was around that time when sometimes we got our hands on the Game Genie, whether we rented it or borrowed it from somebody. However, we beat the game.
Super Shredder, Secret of the Ooze, and TMNT 2: the arcade
At the end, you fight Super Shredder, which was a great take because this was after Ninja Turtles Part II: The Secret of the Ooze. Tokka and Rahzar are in the video game as well which made it so exciting. There were so many bad guys—some that you didn’t get to see before in previous games. As a turtle fan, I approved of this game. This Ninja Turtles game has become almost everyones favorite TMNT game. It is one of my favorites, but Part II for the Nintendo is always going to be my all-time favorite. There’s something about the music and graphics. There’s just something about it that makes it so precious.
💥 Playing TMNT Turtles In Time as an Adult
I recently played this game as an adult, but I forgot how hard it was. And I was getting my butt kicked. Believe me it felt a lot more difficult now than when I was a kid. I had to use a save state in order to beat it. But the game is still fun and great. I mean, it’s good to have a challenge; I just gotta up my game.
Wish List: The 4-Player Missing Feature
I love the other TMNT games that came out afterwards, a lot of them are pretty good. I kind of wish this one was 4 players like the arcade.
